So I wanted to be consistent and not have any continuity errors in my own world state re: aging so I came up with ages for all the premades.
You can look at it here (viewable PDF) while I figure out how to easily transfer it to an html table. lol.
For characters that aren’t featured or are just background characters I just kind of threw a random age that fit their age group. If I messed up at any point and gave twins different ages just pick the age that makes more sense for bother of them lol.
Assume that all Adults stayed Adults, and Elders stayed Elders, but everyone else went to the next age group up (Unborn to Toddler or Child since 5 years passed, Child to Teen, Teen to Adult— not YA if they are still uni aged according to my chart in the linked pdf only because being at uni prevents them from being in world, so if they are still uni aged assume they are in uni, YA to adult).
For some characters, I have specific changes that might not match up to in-game just because 1) it doesn’t make sense because there is conflicting info in memories, aging in game, etc, and elixir of life is not going to be a viable reason for everyone but maybe a handful (and the ones it makes sense for don’t have aging discretions that would need it IMO lol) or 2) I just don’t like what they have set up in game, or both.
For these reasons some siblings might be out order than what is presented in game (example the Capp kids and grandkids have conflicting info, so I just picked what worked best for my story. I didn’t bother checking the order of background characters because there were too many premades WITHOUT doing the townies by hand.
Another example is that I don’t like that Chloe and Lola’s ages are wacky and they are supposed to be young, so to make sense with order of background events, we are saying that Glabe was Glarn’s sister or cousin and couldn’t have kids herself so he was her surrogate and carried the twins for her.
The Bella in this story is the Strangetown Bella, because that’s where we’re going to meet her, but also because no one ever uses her and she needs some love. So I’ve had her age backwards due to where I’ve decided she went when she was missing, and said the Strangetown version is how she looked when she was younger and that she IS the “real” Bella.
I didn’t pick any specific ages for townies except Kaylynn bc they are just background actors if they appear, and I will add them as needed if I really think it needs specified, but probably not.
Additionally, for my story Lyla and Buzz never got divorced, they separated briefly but got back together before she died. The kids were too young to really remember that there were issues because Lyla stayed at home with them and Buzz stayed on base, which is something he did frequently anyway. They know she died because otherwise I feel like they would never stop looking for her thinking she went missing and then my story couldn’t feature them. I’m leaning toward her dying of illness, and she is buried in Olive’s cemetery because Olive maintains one of Strangetown’s two cemeteries. This also gives her easy cover for her crimes. (The other cemetery is on the other side of town in Deadtree, because I’m using chrisnewbie@tumblr’s Strangertown hood from the PSP game—assume all the PSP zombies in Deadtree are actually dead and buried.)
Erin was two grades ahead of Tank, and Tank had a late bday and was 18/ a senior in HS when the game started. She moved into the singles household in the house next door to the Grunts after high school instead of going to uni. Only Erin, Chloe, and Kristen live there, because Lola lives in military apartments near the base.
I also moved Johnny’s house to Paradise Place (replacing the empty house there) because it’s the only other place that has grass in the neighborhood. I moved Kine’s dairy to be a little past Deadtree because I feel like a cult should be slightly separated.
Some additional lots to the chrisnewbie and maxis ones include a jail/ sheriff’s office, some labs, hospital, motel (Ajay owns this), pawn shop, trailer park, the Tricou’s bar, the school, more apartments, military medical barracks near the base, a convenience store, a tattoo shop, and a seedy club, as well as some deco houses to flesh out Strangetown more.
Juliette was about to start her senior year of uni when she died (this story takes place in the summer).
I will update this post as I feel necessary if I think of more background info that is relevant but doesn’t make sense if explained in story due to the POV or whatever.
